What Testosterone Propionate by Genetix Pharma is
Testosterone propionate is the shortest-acting common form of injectable testosterone. Genetix Pharma’s version is 100 mg per ml in a 10 ml vial, 1,000 mg in total. It was one of the first testosterone medicines, introduced in the 1930s.
Because the propionate ester is short, it works fast and clears fast. That means injections every other day, but also that levels drop quickly if you need to stop. It carries all the usual risks of testosterone, plus the sting it’s known for.

How it works
Once the propionate ester is removed, it’s plain testosterone, acting on androgen receptors to build muscle protein and red blood cells.
- Fast in, fast out: a half-life of about 1 day. Levels peak within a day and fall within two or three.
- Converts like any testosterone: to estradiol (bloating, gynecomastia risk) and to DHT (acne, hair loss).
- Less water, per many users, mostly because frequent small doses avoid the big peaks of longer esters.

Testosterone propionate shares testosterone’s risks. Frequent injections add a few of their own.
Post-injection pain
Propionate is known for soreness and sometimes low-grade fever-like aching after injection. Inject slowly into large muscles and rotate sites.
Suppression and fertility
Natural testosterone and sperm production fall while you use it. Recovery after short esters is usually quicker, but not guaranteed.
Red blood cells
Hematocrit rises with dose and thickens the blood. Check a CBC.
Heart and lipids
Higher blood pressure and lower HDL at doses above replacement.
Estrogen effects
Water retention and gynecomastia if estradiol runs high. Bloodwork confirms it.

Clinical reference. When testosterone propionate was used for testosterone replacement, typical doses were 25–50 mg two or three times a week. Longer esters have largely replaced it in medicine because they need fewer injections.
At 100 mg per ml, 0.25 ml is 25 mg and 0.5 ml is 50 mg. Physique doses are usually higher, and every risk on this page rises with dose.

Post-cycle therapy and support
