What Zionova RAD-140 is

RAD-140, also called testolone, is a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator). Each Zionova tablet contains 10 mg, with 50 tablets per bottle. SARMs were designed to build muscle and bone like testosterone while sparing the prostate and other tissues.

RAD-140 has only been tested in early human trials for breast cancer, and it isn’t approved anywhere. It’s often marketed as a “safe steroid alternative”, but it suppresses testosterone, lowers HDL cholesterol, and has been linked to cases of liver injury. Here’s what’s actually known.

How it works

RAD-140 binds androgen receptors in muscle and bone strongly, with less activity in the prostate in animal studies.

  • Doesn’t convert to estrogen or DHT.
  • Still suppresses: the brain senses androgen activity and reduces LH and FSH, so natural testosterone falls.
  • Long half-life, so it’s taken once a day.

“Selective” doesn’t mean side-effect-free; the selectivity seen in animals is only partial in people.

Side effects and risks

Human safety data for RAD-140 is limited to small, early trials and case reports.

Liver injury

Published case reports describe drug-induced liver injury, including jaundice, in people using RAD-140. Yellow skin or eyes, dark urine or itching means stop and see a doctor.

Testosterone suppression

Natural testosterone drops, sometimes significantly, leading to low libido and fatigue.

Cholesterol

HDL commonly falls, as with steroids.

Hair and skin

Hair shedding and acne are reported by users.

Mood and sleep

Aggression, irritability and poor sleep are reported.
