What Zionova Aromasin is
Aromasin is the brand name for exemestane, an aromatase inhibitor prescribed for breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Each Zionova tablet contains 10 mg, with 50 tablets per bottle.
Men use it off-label to lower high estradiol caused by testosterone or other aromatizing steroids. Exemestane works differently from anastrozole (Arimidex): it permanently disables the aromatase enzyme. That makes it effective, and makes overdoing it easy.

How it works
Exemestane looks like the hormones aromatase normally works on. The enzyme binds it and is permanently disabled, so your body has to make new enzyme.
- Irreversible: its effect outlasts the drug itself, so estradiol stays lower for a while after stopping.
- Steroidal: it has a mild androgenic metabolite, which may be why some find it gentler on libido and lipids than anastrozole.
- Better absorbed with food: the label advises taking it after a meal.

Dosing information
Clinical reference. For breast cancer, the label dose is 25 mg once a day after a meal. Studies in men have also used 25 mg a day, while off-label use to control estradiol on testosterone usually involves much smaller amounts, adjusted with bloodwork.
One Zionova tablet is 10 mg. Talk to a doctor before use, and only use it with a confirmed high estradiol result.
When it’s actually needed
Many men on TRT never need an aromatase inhibitor. Symptoms of high estradiol (bloating, sensitive nipples, mood swings) overlap with other causes, so confirm with a sensitive estradiol test.
