What Ipamorelin 5mg is
Ipamorelin is a small peptide (five amino acids) that triggers growth hormone release by mimicking ghrelin. Each vial contains 5 mg of freeze-dried powder for mixing with bacteriostatic water.

How it works
- Ghrelin receptor agonist: it activates the growth hormone secretagogue receptor in the pituitary and hypothalamus.
- Selective: in animal and early human studies, it released growth hormone with little effect on cortisol, prolactin or appetite.

Dosing information
Clinical reference. Ipamorelin has no approved dose. Its human trials used an intravenous form after bowel surgery, which doesn’t translate to injections under the skin.

Mixing math. Adding 2 ml of bacteriostatic water to the 5 mg vial gives 2.5 mg (2,500 mcg) per ml. On a U-100 insulin syringe:
- 100 mcg = 0.04 ml = 4 units
- 200 mcg = 0.08 ml = 8 units
- 300 mcg = 0.12 ml = 12 units
For easier measuring of small doses, some people add more water, such as 5 ml for 1,000 mcg per ml.
Mixing and storage
