How it works

Mixing math. Adding 5 ml of bacteriostatic water to the 5 mg vial gives 1,000 mcg per ml, so every 10 units on a U-100 syringe is 100 mcg:
- 100 mcg = 10 units
- 200 mcg = 20 units
If the vial can’t hold 5 ml, use 2.5 ml (2,000 mcg per ml): 100 mcg = 5 units.

Common questions
