What NPP by Genetix Pharma is

NPP is nandrolone phenylpropionate: the same hormone as Deca, on a much shorter ester. Genetix Pharma’s version is 100 mg per ml in a 10 ml vial (1,000 mg in total). It was sold for decades under the brand name Durabolin.

The short ester means NPP starts working within days and clears within days, giving more control than Deca at the cost of more frequent injections. The risks are those of nandrolone: deep suppression, prolactin-related side effects and libido problems without enough testosterone.

How it works

  • Nandrolone is strongly anabolic with milder androgenic effects than testosterone, because it converts to the weaker DHN rather than DHT.
  • Short ester: phenylpropionate gives a half-life of about 2–3 days, so it’s injected every 2–3 days.
  • Progestin activity can raise prolactin, which is behind some of its sexual side effects.

NPP’s side effects match Deca’s; they just come and go faster.

Libido and prolactin

Low libido and erectile problems are common when testosterone is too low alongside it or prolactin rises.

Suppression

Natural testosterone shuts down strongly.

Heart and blood pressure

Lower HDL, higher blood pressure and some water retention.

Injection frequency

Injections every 2–3 days raise the chance of irritation and infection; use sterile equipment every time.

Gynecomastia

Possible through prolactin and progesterone receptor effects.

Dosing information

Clinical reference. Nandrolone phenylpropionate was prescribed for conditions such as osteoporosis and anemia at modest doses, usually injected weekly. It’s no longer marketed in North America, and current nandrolone labeling refers to the decanoate form (100–200 mg a week for men with anemia of kidney disease).

At 100 mg per ml, 0.5 ml is 50 mg and 1 ml is 100 mg. Every risk on this page rises with dose. Talk to a doctor before use.

Post-cycle therapy and support
