What Zionova Testosterone 400 is
Testosterone 400 is a high-strength blend of two long-acting testosterone esters: 200 mg of testosterone cypionate and 200 mg of testosterone enanthate in every ml, for 400 mg per ml. A 10 ml vial holds 4,000 mg, so the same weekly dose takes less oil than a standard 250 mg/ml product.
Blends like this aren’t made by pharmaceutical companies; doctors prescribe single-ester testosterone. Test 400 is used mainly by people running higher doses who want fewer or smaller injections. The trade-offs are a sharper injection and a strength that makes small measuring errors bigger.

How it works
Once in the body, both esters release plain testosterone, which binds to androgen receptors to drive protein synthesis, red blood cell production and strength gains. Some of it converts to estradiol (estrogen) and some to DHT.
- Two similar esters. Enanthate (half-life about 4–5 days) and cypionate (about 5–8 days) release at almost the same rate, so the blend behaves much like either one alone: inject once or twice a week.
- More hormone per ml. That’s the main difference from regular testosterone. Keeping 400 mg dissolved usually needs more solvent, which is why many people find high-strength oils sting more and cause more post-injection soreness.

Clinical reference. There’s no prescription equivalent of this blend, so the reference is testosterone itself: for low testosterone, guidelines suggest 75–100 mg a week or 150–200 mg every two weeks. Doses used for bulking are often several times that, and every risk on this page rises with dose.

Where it is injected
Testosterone 400 is an oil, so it goes deep into a large muscle with a regular needle: never just under the skin and never into a vein. These are the muscles standard nursing guidance uses.

- Lie on your side or stand. Put the heel of your hand on the bony knob at the top of the thigh (greater trochanter): left hand on the right hip, right hand on the left.
- Point your index finger at the bony front of the hip (anterior superior iliac spine) and fan your middle finger back along the hip crest to make a V.
- The site is the middle of that V.
Why it is used. Many nursing programs now teach it first. The muscle is thick, the fat over it is thin and fairly even, and no large nerve or vessel crosses the target area.
Careful. The landmarks take a few tries to find on your own body. A mirror or a helper makes the first ones easier.

- Sit down. Find the bony knob at the top of the thigh and the top of the kneecap.
- Divide the distance between them into three equal parts.
- Use the middle part, on the outer front of the thigh, roughly where a trouser seam would run.
Why it is used. The easiest large muscle to see and reach on yourself, with plenty of muscle to work with.
Careful. Stay on the outer side. The femoral artery, vein and nerve run along the inner front of the thigh. It can feel stiff for a day or two.

- Find the bony ridge at the top of the shoulder (acromion).
- Measure two to three finger-widths straight down from it.

Why it is used. Quick to reach and the usual place for vaccines. Good for small volumes.
Careful. A small muscle: larger amounts hurt and can leak back out. Going too low on the arm risks the axillary and radial nerves.

- Pick the big musclesConcentrated 400 mg/ml oils are among the ones people most often say leave the muscle sore. The hip and outer thigh handle them best; the shoulder is for small volumes only.

Side effects and risks
Testosterone 400 is usually used at higher doses, and every risk below scales with dose.
Suppression and fertility
Natural testosterone production shuts down while you use it; sperm production falls and testes shrink. Recovery after stopping can take months.
Hematocrit and clots
Higher doses push red blood cell counts up faster. Thick blood raises the risk of clots, heart attack and stroke, so check your CBC regularly.
Blood pressure and cholesterol
Expect higher blood pressure and lower HDL cholesterol at bulking doses. Monitor both, keep up cardio and keep salt in check.
Estrogen side effects
More testosterone means more conversion to estradiol: bloating, sensitive nipples and possible gynecomastia. Bloodwork tells you whether estradiol is actually high.
Injection pain and infection
High-strength oils can cause more soreness. Inject slowly into a large muscle, rotate sites and always use new, sterile equipment. Increasing heat, swelling or redness needs medical attention.
Don’t use it if you
Are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, have or have had prostate or breast cancer, untreated sleep apnea, high hematocrit, or heart, liver or kidney disease. In women it causes virilization that can be permanent.

Androgens make warfarin work harder. INR can rise quickly and bleeding has been reported, so the blood thinner usually needs closer checks and often a lower dose.
- CautionInsulin and diabetes tablets
Anabolic steroids can lower blood sugar and change insulin sensitivity, so diabetes medicines may need to be adjusted.
- CautionPrednisone and other corticosteroids
Both hold on to salt and water. Together they make swelling and blood-pressure rises more likely, which matters most with heart, liver or kidney disease.
- Good to knowOral steroids at the same time
An oral 17-alpha-alkylated steroid adds liver strain and pushes HDL cholesterol down further on top of what this injectable already does.

Post-cycle therapy and support
Because both esters are long-acting, post-cycle therapy (PCT) usually starts about two weeks after your final injection. Most PCT uses a SERM, such as tamoxifen (Nolvadex) or clomiphene (Clomid), to help your body restart its own testosterone. Common questions
Is Test 400 stronger than regular testosterone?
Not per mg. 400 mg of Test 400 has the same effect as 400 mg of testosterone enanthate or cypionate. It’s simply more concentrated, so you inject less oil.
Why does Test 400 hurt more to inject?
High-strength oils usually need more solvent to keep the hormone dissolved, and that can sting and cause soreness. Injecting slowly, warming the vial first and using large muscles helps.
How often should I inject it?
Once or twice a week. Splitting the weekly amount into two smaller injections gives steadier levels and less soreness per shot.
My vial has crystals in it. Is it bad?
High-concentration oils can crystallize when cold. Warm the vial in warm water and swirl until completely clear before use. If it won’t clear, don’t inject it.
