What Testosterone Enanthate by Genetix Pharma is
Genetix Pharma’s Testosterone Enanthate is injectable testosterone bound to the enanthate ester, at 250 mg per ml in a 10 ml vial (2,500 mg in total). The ester holds the hormone in an oil depot in the muscle and releases it over several days, so one or two injections a week keep levels up.
It’s the same compound and strength as most pharmaceutical enanthate, at one of the lowest prices per mg in our range. Below is what it does, what can go wrong, and the bloodwork that keeps you on track.

03How it works
How it works
After injection, enzymes slowly cut the enanthate ester off, leaving plain testosterone. With a half-life of about 4–5 days, levels peak a day or two after a shot and fall gradually after that.
- Muscle and strength: testosterone activates androgen receptors, raising protein synthesis and nitrogen retention.
- Blood: it stimulates red blood cell production, which helps endurance but can go too far.
- Conversions: part of it becomes estradiol (needed in moderation for joints, mood and libido) and part becomes DHT (acne and hair loss in men prone to them).

A half-life of about 4-5 days means half of what is in the body is gone after that time, then half of the rest, and so on. The ester decides how slowly the hormone leaves the injection depot, which is why long esters are injected less often than short ones.

05Clinical reference
Dosing information
Clinical reference. For low testosterone, Endocrine Society guidelines suggest 75–100 mg a week or 150–200 mg every two weeks, adjusted with bloodwork. The product label range is 50–400 mg every 2–4 weeks. Muscle-building doses are usually much higher, and every risk on this page rises with them.
Talk to a doctor before use.
How long a vial lasts. At 250 mg per ml, a 10 ml vial holds 2,500 mg:
- 100 mg a week (0.4 ml): about 25 weeks
- 250 mg a week (1 ml): 10 weeks
- 500 mg a week (2 ml): 5 weeks
Allow a little extra for the oil left in the needle each time.

Where it is injected
Testosterone Enanthate is an oil, so it goes deep into a large muscle with a regular needle: never just under the skin and never into a vein. These are the muscles standard nursing guidance uses.

- Lie on your side or stand. Put the heel of your hand on the bony knob at the top of the thigh (greater trochanter): left hand on the right hip, right hand on the left.
- Point your index finger at the bony front of the hip (anterior superior iliac spine) and fan your middle finger back along the hip crest to make a V.
- The site is the middle of that V.
Why it is used. Many nursing programs now teach it first. The muscle is thick, the fat over it is thin and fairly even, and no large nerve or vessel crosses the target area.
Careful. The landmarks take a few tries to find on your own body. A mirror or a helper makes the first ones easier.

- Sit down. Find the bony knob at the top of the thigh and the top of the kneecap.
- Divide the distance between them into three equal parts.
- Use the middle part, on the outer front of the thigh, roughly where a trouser seam would run.
Why it is used. The easiest large muscle to see and reach on yourself, with plenty of muscle to work with.
Careful. Stay on the outer side. The femoral artery, vein and nerve run along the inner front of the thigh. It can feel stiff for a day or two.

- Find the bony ridge at the top of the shoulder (acromion).
- Measure two to three finger-widths straight down from it.
- Inject into the thickest part of the muscle on the outer side of the arm, well above the armpit line.
Why it is used. Quick to reach and the usual place for vaccines. Good for small volumes.
Careful. A small muscle: larger amounts hurt and can leak back out. Going too low on the arm risks the axillary and radial nerves.

- Picture a cross dividing one buttock into four quarters.
- The traditional site is the upper outer quarter, close to the hip crest.

Why it is used. Still shown in many older guides because the muscle is so large.
Careful. The sciatic nerve and the superior gluteal artery are close by, and the fat layer is often thick enough that oil ends up in fat instead of muscle.

Route for Testosterone EnanthateInto the muscle (IM)
- Hip, thigh or shoulderLong-ester oils like this one tend to be smooth on the muscle, so all three common sites are used. Keep the shoulder for smaller volumes.
- Rotate sidesGoing back to the same spot before it has healed builds lumps and scar tissue. Most people rotate through at least four spots: both hips and both thighs.
- Warm it in your handRolling the vial between your palms for a minute thins the oil so it pushes more easily. Never heat it in water or a microwave.
- Wash your hands

Side effects and risks
Testosterone is well studied, which means its risks are well known. Most rise with dose.
Lower natural testosterone
Your own production shuts down while you use it, testicles shrink and sperm counts drop. Fertility usually comes back after stopping, but it can take months.
Hematocrit
A rising red blood cell count makes blood thicker and raises the risk of clots. It’s the side effect most likely to show up on a CBC before you notice anything.
Blood pressure and lipids
Expect a rise in blood pressure and a drop in HDL cholesterol at higher doses. Both are silent, so measure them.
Estrogen side effects
Water retention, sore nipples and possible gynecomastia when estradiol runs high. Bloodwork tells you whether estradiol is actually the problem.
Injection safety
New sterile needle and syringe every time, alcohol swab on the vial and skin, and never share equipment. Spreading redness, heat or swelling needs a doctor.
Don’t use it if you
Are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, have prostate or breast cancer (or a history of it), untreated sleep apnea, a high hematocrit, or serious heart, liver or kidney disease. Women risk permanent virilization.

Interactions

- SeriousWarfarin and other blood thinners
Androgens make warfarin work harder. INR can rise quickly and bleeding has been reported, so the blood thinner usually needs closer checks and often a lower dose.
- CautionInsulin and diabetes tablets
Anabolic steroids can lower blood sugar and change insulin sensitivity, so diabetes medicines may need to be adjusted.
- CautionPrednisone and other corticosteroids
Both hold on to salt and water. Together they make swelling and blood-pressure rises more likely, which matters most with heart, liver or kidney disease.
- Good to knowOral steroids at the same time
An oral 17-alpha-alkylated steroid adds liver strain and pushes HDL cholesterol down further on top of what this injectable already does.

Post-cycle therapy and support
After a course (as opposed to ongoing TRT), many people use post-cycle therapy with a SERM such as tamoxifen (Nolvadex) or clomiphene (Clomid), usually starting about two weeks after the last enanthate injection.
